Forged & Patinated Bronze

Brushed Chalk Surface by Uwe Schmidt

For a custom-made console, traditional blacksmithing was combined with an artistic surface treatment.

The base is made of hand-forged bronze – raw, powerful, full of movement.

Every line, every irregularity bears the marks of hammer, fire, and time.

Resting atop is a sculpted body finished with a refined plaster technique by Uwe Schmidt. Its surface shifts between depth and lightness – almost painterly in expression. The result is an object somewhere between sculpture and furniture – reduced in form, rich in material.

A one-of-a-kind piece that speaks with quiet conviction.
